Michele “Mickie” A. Paskal, AS’90, Chicago, IL, has been nominated for her third Primetime Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the category of Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series for her work on the FX show “The Bear.”

Ambassador Terry E. Branstad, JD’74, West Des Moines, IA, has been awarded the Iowa Award, the state’s highest citizen honor to recognize and encourage Iowans’ service in science, medicine, law, religion, education, industry, government, and other areas, as well as their accomplishments both in and outside of the state.

Emilee A. Richardson, JO’09, Los Angeles, CA, has been honored with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory North Star Award “for excellence in delivering high-impact digital campaigns and elevating JPL’s public voice through creativity, strategy, and resilient leadership.”

Eric M. Saubert, BN’16, Renton, WA, has won the 2026 Super Bowl as a tight end with the Seattle Seahawks, becoming the first Drake Bulldog to win a Super Bowl as a player.

Renee Hardman, LA’83, MBA’89, West Des Moines, IA, has been elected to the Iowa Senate, becoming the first Black woman elected to the state Senate.

Wanda D. Ford, ED’86, Parma, OH, has been inducted into the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame.

Emily A. (Boyd) Steele, BN’12, Des Moines, IA, has been named a runner-up for Best Entrepreneur in the Des Moines Business Record 2025 Best of Des Moines survey. Emily has also been named the 2025 innovationENTREPRENEUR of the Year by the Des Moines Business Record for her work with the venture-backed marketing platform Hummingbirds, which pairs local content creators with local and national brands to create word-of-mouth marketing.

Madeline Grace Jones, AS’18, New York, NY, has made their Off-Broadway debut in Gail Kriegel’s play “Cracked Open” at Theatre Row Theatre Four in New York City.
